Researchers at the University of California (Los Angeles) conducted a study on a group of 30 women aged 18 to 37 years. They took two photographs of each foot woman, a little before ovulation, the second at a time of low fertility in the menstrual cycle. Volunteers (17 men and 25 women) were then asked to judge which of the two photos, face being masked, showed the woman more to his advantage. The picture is taken when the woman was the most fruitful was selected in almost 60% of cases.
According to the British weekly, although of a different physical signals emitted by female primates, this is the first indication that women seek to be attractive when they are most fertile.
