Definition Of Dental Abscess
An abscess is an infection caused by untreated tooth decay. The most common is a dental abscess: dental pulp dies as a result of untreated inflammation, where an infection that destroys tissue (necrosis). The periodontal abscess is linked to impairment of the periodontal (the supporting tissue of the tooth) formed by the gum and bone. The abscess is located in an endodontic root end of the tooth.
