FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH OUR NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION
FIRSTLY, WHAT ARE THE "GDA"?
The Guideline Daily indicated mean intakes of calories and nutrients (protein, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, sugars, fiber and salt) necessary to the daily diet of an adult or a child.
Daily consumption of these recommendations has been developed by McDonald's, in collaboration with experts in nutrition, based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the European Union.
Because adults and children have very different needs, GDAs were developed for each of these two categories. For example:
- For adults: GDA energy are calculated based on the average needs of a woman 20 to 30 years with a low level of physical activity (2000 kcal per day).
- For kids: energy GDAs are calculated based on the average requirement of a girl of 4 to seven years with a moderate level of physical activity (1600 kcal per day).
