Symptoms and signs of sub-arachnoid hemorrhage
This type of stroke begins at most with a sudden and severe headache that is so intense that you have not experienced before. The headache can regularly start on one side, or in mind often you also stiff neck and nausea.
You will gradually become more and more tired, and you can lose consciousness. At 25% changes in acts of consciousness within 15 minutes, someone is confused and 10-50% may have convulsions, followed by unusually severe headache. 15% die in the acute phase.
The condition may also occur less dramatic, and in third headaches start slowly and build-up of (usually few) minutes. In sum, such a less dramatic illness prefigures a later dramatic bleeding.

Headache may be the only symptom in up to 40%, and headaches may return completely within minutes to hours.
