The disturbance in body perception is often a major problem to help the patient to understand and accept its outcome.

A patient with a pure motor outcome will generally not have difficulties to understand that "my arm is paralyzed." Patient with this type of outcome is, however, eventually difficult to achieve the insights that are essential to train and improve their function.

This particularly applies to patients with damage in the right hemisphere. In many cases, you have to give tasks to the patient through the familiar daily activities may find that the feature is not as before.

This can be a painful experience, and one must therefore exercise caution when you put the patient at such tasks.

However, it is hoped that training in daily living tasks glove can make the patient regain lost functions, or that the patient learns to perform duties in other ways.
